We are\u00a0also financing the centre\u2019s infrastructure, \u00c9cole h\u00f4teli\u00e8re de Kimbondo, to motivate\u00a0young girls aged 17 to 21 and jobseekers (women and men) aged 18 to 45 to learn a\u00a0profession.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-e482ac1 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"e482ac1\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p><strong>Location<\/strong>: \u00a0The Lyc\u00e9e Technique et Professionnel Kimbondo, founded in 1991, was\u00a0one of the first schools in the DRC to award a state diploma in the hotel and catering\u00a0sector. In 2012, it became the Centre de Formation Kimbondo (CFK), building on\u00a0more than twenty years&amp;#39; experience. The CFK offers excellent and renowned\u00a0teaching in a lively and dynamic environment. Two post-secondary programmes are\u00a0available, offering a wide range of professional career opportunities in the hotel and\u00a0restaurant industry. Since 2006, the institution has been strengthened by the creation\u00a0of the Centre de Formation des Formateurs du Tertiaire (CFFT), which organises\u00a0modular training courses open to a mixed and varied public.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-ddfef7e elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"ddfef7e\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p><strong>Achievements<\/strong>:<br \/>Every year, on average,<br \/>=&gt; 80 girls aged between 12 and 22 who dropped out of school have access to\u00a0basic education,<br \/>=&gt; more than 150 young people receive professional qualifications,<br \/>=&gt; and an average of 100 salaried jobs or entrepreneurial activities are created.<br \/>=&gt; More than 500 girls and women are taking part in leadership programmes that\u00a0help to promote civic values throughout the country and encourage greater\u00a0participation by women in various social and professional sectors.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-781f4df elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"781f4df\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p><strong>Our latest achievement<\/strong>: a new generator<br \/>With the support of an account\/project within the King Baudouin Foundation, which\u00a0offered donors a tax deduction on part of their donations, we were able to purchase a\u00a0new electricity generator. The centre will aim to\u00a0provide certifications that guarantee the quality of education in any of the country\u2019s\u00a0institutions offering professional training in the hospitality sector. It will have a kitchen-\u00a0pastry-bakery laboratory, which will serve as a professional immersion site for\u00a0students from Kimbondo and other centres in the city that do not have such\u00a0workshops, as well as a place to organize the certification tests for their training. The\u00a0diploma is recognised by the DRC&amp;#39;s Ministry of Education, and the school also works\u00a0in collaboration with the Ecole h\u00f4teli\u00e8re de Lausanne EHL. The centre expects 300\u00a0young people to get certified in their field there each year.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-1d758bf elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"1d758bf\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>The funding required to set up the centre covers the fitting-out of the premises and\u00a0the purchase of the equipment needed to carry out the project: split air conditioning\u00a0units, a 475-litre refrigerator, freezers with solar panels, a semi-industrial oven,\u00a0professional gas cookers, stainless steel work tables, deep fryers, digital scales,\u00a0mixers and accessories, as well as individual cooking and baking utensils for\u00a0students.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-d2b8588 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"d2b8588\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p><strong>How can you help?<\/strong><\/p><p>=&gt; Through a payment to the IRIF account: International Resource Information\u00a0aisbl, Bl. Basic education<\/strong>: four-year literacy, remedial education and vocational\u00a0training programme, for girls aged 12 to 22.<br \/><b>Where<\/b>: the Kimbondo and Moluka social centres, established in 1995 and 2000\u00a0respectively, have the infrastructure needed to reach this objective.<br \/><b>Beneficiaries<\/b>: 400 girls will complete the programme over the next 5 years, an\u00a0average of 80 girls\/year: 40 in Kimbondo and 40 in Moluka.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-986afda elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"986afda\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p><strong>2. Professional formation:<\/strong> \u00c9cole h\u00f4teli\u00e8re de Kimbondo\u00a0<\/p><p><b>Where<\/b>: Located in the commune of Mont-Ngafula, the second largest district of<br \/>Kinshasa, the capital of DR Congo. The experience acquired by the Ecole H\u00f4teli\u00e8re\u00a0has enabled it to carry out projects in the country&amp;#39;s other provincial capitals, namely\u00a0Lubumbashi, Goma and Moanda, as well as in Brazzaville, the capital of the Republic\u00a0of the Congo.<br \/><b>Mission<\/b>: To promote the development of technical and vocational training in DR\u00a0Congo as a means of combating the poverty linked to unemployment, and therefore\u00a0to adapt the educational offer to the requirements of companies in the sector that\u00a0make up the job market.<br \/><b>Vision<\/b>: To provide high-quality professional education in the service industry for\u00a0young people and adults in order to promote skilled jobs; to support the quality and\u00a0productivity of businesses in the service industry in order to strengthen the national\u00a0economy. To achieve this, we need to start by training competent trainers.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-bdbcc32 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"bdbcc32\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p><strong>I. I&#8217;m the third in a family of seven children. My uncle signed me up for the Kimbondo project to learn to read and write. Schools in my country are abandoned and classes are not regular. I would love to learn how to make cakes to have my own little cake shop. With the money I&#8217;d then save, I would like to help my unemployed father bring my little brothers back to Kinshasa.
